Julian Assange interviewed Malaysian Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim in the finale of The Julian Assange Show, his political talk show produced by Russian-owned network RT.

The episode was broadcast Monday night, Malaysian time.

Discussing a wide variety of topics ranging from Anwar's experiences in prison and his vision for an ASEAN with stronger regional understanding, the Wikileaks founder was a genial interviewer, rarely asking questions critical of Anwar, preferring to question and analyze the state of Malaysia today and in the future.

The interview was conducted on Skype with camera crew recording both Assange and Anwar from separate locations. Assange is currently under house arrest in the United Kingdom over a case where he was accused of rape in Sweden.
Stating that 'with Malaysian elections looming and Anwar tipped to win', Assange's show, initially titled The World Tomorrow, had a run for twelve episodes.

Ray Tee like most BN supporters have a one-track mind. They can only focus on the sex life of others. They should become porn producers or directors. Since most of them will be out of their jobs after GE13, they should get a job in which they seem to have so much past experience. Their MCA chief even have the acting skill as well.

raymond tee(klray)

as you mentioned alleged rapist ( not guilty untill proven) i didn,t see anything wrong with it, interviewing Anwar, again which i didn,t see anything wrong with it,

there is no joke in it even Julian is in a mess himself, yes to court he has to answer but that is a seperate matter infact is his personal matter (and it has nothing to do with this interview)

Intergrity??? ( again untill he is proven guilty, even if he is guilty we still have to judge ourself, what kind of court. Is it like our kangaroo court.)

I dont really mind who the interviewer is, it interest me more on the view, opinion and state of Malaysia by Anwar.

Asange got nothing to do with Malaysia but Anwar do and so do us, so why u worry about Asange so much?

what you should worry is your focus.

Poor opposition leader. He doesn't has any chance to get interviewed on TV in Malaysia, his own beloved country, thanks this to BN authoritarian government. So after he interviewed by foreigner, most properly BN nuts will accuse him having foreign connections...lets wait and see!

BN continually regained the majority seats in the nation's government through all sorts of dirty tricks. The manipulation of the mainstream media is the worst because they are able to control the thinking process of the rakyat with the subtle propagandas they dish out daily.

But the situation is changing today because of the internet. Now the opposition has a chance to let the rakyat know the better alternative to BN's false promises of progress and development as cover ups for unbridled corruption and self-enrichment.

I say syabas to DSAI for being interviewed by Assange. If BN supporters are not happy with this event, go and ask Ah Jib Gor to demand that Assange interview him too. We will then be able to judge fairly who is the better man.

When there is a dialogue, we should be watching the body language of the speakers, the relevance of the subject matter & the opinions expressed regardless of the character history of the speakers. So keep your Eyes & Ears wide Open and make your judgement folks.

It's good to hear something from an opposition leader, because so far we can hear only from the government leader.  Regarding the credibility of both interviewer and interviewee in the eyes of the law, let's not jump to conclusion.  Even a higher court can over-rule the lower court, and a new government can over-rule the old one.  The government likes to use the law and the court to discredit a credible opposition.  That is a tool to make people believe that the opposition side is bad.  But, after government change, the law and public opinion will change to the other side.  So news and decisions are all relative.  They are not absolute truths.  It's up to the people to believe it or not.  One good news here is that someone has tried to bring together the government and opposition leaders to a debate, but the government side refused.  The government could send its representative instead.  If not Najib, why not sending Rais to represent the government ???

Assange shoul interview also other politicians beside Anwar to get a clearer and more transparent view of Malaysian politics. I may not be in favor of the current govt but it is like getting the best of all the evils... I would classify Anwar as more evil than the current politician... top of the rank.. Please do interview more politician. both from the govt and the ooposition..and not just ANWAR... In fact I wouldn's suggest Anwar at all... Nik Aziz is more of a man..

This encounter between two men who dare betray the fouls of governments at their own behest is certainly unprecedented. Instead of being hounded, they should  one day be considered for Nobel Prizes for promoting peace very much like Nelson Mandela and others.  The sinister perspectives taken against them by their enemies have been driven only by their own selfish agenda. As for their followers and cronies, it is sheer potted thinking on their part after letting their minds be conditioned by the same gagged media all the time.
