GE13: Najib Dismisses Opposition's 'Ubah' Slogan As Gimmick To Draw Attention
SARATOK (Sarawak), April 27 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today dismissed the Opposition's 'Ubah' (Change) slogan as a mere gimmick to draw attention, and advised the people against being influenced by it.
The prime minister said the supposed nectar behind the slogan was actually venom, which had been experienced by the people in the four states governed by the Opposition. Kelantan, Kedah, Penang and Selangor are administered by the opposition pact.
"Some of us in the four states administered by the Opposition have fallen for the 'Ubah' slogan, but today the people there are disappointed because their chosen governments are unable to deliver on their promises.
"Therefore, I wish to remind the people against falling for the slogan because they have done nothing after having been given the mandate to run these state governments, he said when addressing the people in Dataran Krian, here.

Also present were Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Alfred Jabu and the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Saratok parliamentary seat, Sarawak Social Development Minister Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom.
Najib said the disappointment of the people in Selangor should be taken as a lesson by the people, especially in Sarawak, so as not to elect candidates from the PKR.
The BN chairman said that unlike the BN, which had a plan and a road map for the states and the country, PKR had failed to meet the aspirations of the people.
"PKR cannot provide for the future of the people here. Believe me, they have failed in Selangor. They will surely fail in Sarawak," he said.
Najib advised the people to make a wise decision, saying an electoral fight could not looked at from the point of any individual but should encompass capability and trust to take care of the people and their future.
The prime minister said the choice of the Sarawak people on polling day on May 5 was significant to ensure a strong BN government at the federal level.
He said the people must realise that a weak federal government would be under pressure from the Opposition and those outside the government and would be unable to carry on with the development programmes.
As such, he urged the voters of Saratok to elect Mawan as their MP, saying that his close relationship with Mawan would facilitate development in the constituency.
"The BN candidate fielded here has access to me as the BN chairman. Therefore, it will be easy for the people of Saratok to receive my attention," he said.
Earlier, Najib said that an RM8.8-million allocation to overcome water supply problems had been included in the budget announced in the BN manifesto.
In the general election, Mawan will face Ali anak Biju of PKR and Independent candidate Rosli Lek alias Abang Roselie Abang Paleng.
Ah Jib Gor goes to other states he also say the same thing. He must be an octopus with 13 tentacles in order to do that. Maybe he can because that way he can grab the loot from every states. He says PR cannot provide for the future of the state. But what has BN done for the past 56 years? Allow a white-haired devil to become the richest Chief Minister in the world. And made our nation the most corrupt in the world as well.
Do we really need BN? Like we need a hole in our head!
with a huge majority. I am sure that the 22% undecided voters yet now, will turn towards the charismatic Anwar, in this polls.
How dare you say BN has a ROAD MAP? You only have a TOLL MAP.
Pakatan are hoping to replace your TOLL MAP with a ROAD MAP.
How could you say that Selangor failed to administer? Is it because they gave us free water? Is it because they want to replace TOLL MAPS with ROAD MAPS? Malaysians have every right to fall for for those whom they trust and DROP those whom they Don't.
You can do us a favour by allowing truths to remain untwisted.
Well...the BN president is desperate man in a very desperate situation. Using the controlled media, giving away rakyat money freely to buy vote...all did not work. MIC and Gerakan presidents is quiet because they know what is happening inside BN. MCA president only know the blaming game. Sarawak CM start to be reject by the Sarawakian.
Now...Najib is even phobia with the word 'UBAH'.
If the citizen want to eliminate corruptions, mis-used of rakyat money....then we must change the government. To elect BN to continue governing is a gift of continuation of corruptions and sucking our nation money by the BN cronies.
'CHANGE,CHANGE,CHANGE. UBAH,UBAH,UBAH. We must change the government and let new government take over and see what the new government can do. 'No Change-No Gain'.

this time in my point of view...BN will finish...sorry to say this. because BN dah terlalu banyak tipu rakyat sebenarnya. tipu dalam diam. I hope this time, BN jangan main kotor. konco konco BN yg dah sedia main kotor tu, awas...I know this BN like to play dirty...
the BN candidate dare not even confront the very basic issue with any of the opposition.
it's definately no gimmick, the opposition is gaining ground everyday, najib you have to realise the truth not denying it altogether, the people you put up to represent is only good for singing 'love is in the air' - it's not about love, it's about the livlihood of the rakyat, that's the gest of the opposition ceramah and BN are just walking around the merket and not being welcome, SO PATHETIC.
actually it's time for you and your cabinet to start packing and destroying all physical evident that will be used agains you in the court of law.
it's never so close for the opposition to march to putrajaya in this GE13, and the time is near.
