NGO group Bersih coalition had set a healthy forum between PM Najib and opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim at KL-Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall with moderator Islamic Renaissance Front chairman Dr Farouk Musa on April 17. PM Najib did not show up, whereas Anwar appeared with Bersih co-founder A Samad Said and PKR member Rafizi Ramli.

As opposition leader Anwar, Bersih co-founder A. Samad Said, Rafizi and Ambiga took their seats, the emcee introduced the forum: "This forum is a platform for two parties to discuss the manifestos for Malaysians to understand better in the open, and to let Malaysians understand and decide who they should vote for in the GE13." Pak Samad took to the stage and recited a poem 'Janji Demokrasi' before Anwar was invited up to begin discussions: "I was looking forward to a friendly discourse with my colleague (pauses) from Barisan Nasional. I value the importance of the dialogue, discussion as a reasonable discourse."

How can we vote for someone to be the prime minister of our country if he doesn't even have the guts to face up to his opponent? All these BN leaders are only good at using others to fight their battles. But when it comes to one-to-one face off, they chicken out. They are only good at using the taxpayers' money to buy their way to the top.

Tak malu ke?

UBAH LAH!

Everytime he refuses a debate, the image of Najib's reply "Ini bukan budaya melayu untuk berdebat" came into my mind

Inept Najib will never ever debate ever, because he is not capable to. Says that much bout him huh

Everytime, PKR debate with facts and figures. With UMNO, they shout from behind, when ask them for a debate, all bow down and never see the head at all (like what is in the recording of a parliament session)

He talks big in front of his very own Umno's species.
But when he gets to see his opponent a mile away, he'll hide his head under the sand.
What sort of PM is this?
An ostrich???

It was an invited debate.  He can do a no show. It doesn't prove anything. Although,  it will be better if he can state his points and bn manifesto.  Or perhaps he can get his wife to debate for him...hee hee.

The people like to see a pm that would make a stand, someone who will fight for what he believes in. Not just stay numb, and leaves everything to speech writers. And for this, I salute mr. Anwar.

He might not walk the talk when he wins, but atleast he dares to talk.

FRANKLY, I USED TO BE A STAUNCH BN VOTER TOO PREVIOUSLY, BUT DUE TO THEIR CORRUPTION, VERY OBVIOUS RACIAL DISCRIMINATION, INJUSTICES, RACIAL PREJUDICES SELFISH AIMS AND EVERYTHING ELSE THEY HAVE LOST MY VOTE.....I AM POSITIVE THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE, THERE ARE COUNTLESS OTHERS OUT THERE WHO FEEL DISAPPOINTED AS WELL. SO WHO IS TO BE BLAMED?? CAN'T THEY JUST UNDERSTAND THAT BEING THE RULING PARTY OR GOVERNMENT IT IS VERY OBVIOUS THAT THEY MUST PRACTICE FAIRNESS, EQUALITY AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL THEY MUST PLACE PLACE THE WELFARE OF THE  "RAKYAT" FIRST AND BE GIVEN TOP PRIORTY AND JUSTICE SHOULD PREVAIL AT ALL TIMES TO ENSURE A PEACEFUL AND PROGRESSIVE NATION AND TO TRULY UPHOLD THE CONCEPT OF 1 MALAYSIA. CAN ANYONE FRANKLY AGREE THAT WE ARE CURRENTLY PRACTICING THE 1 MALAYSIA CONCEPT?? MAY GOD GUIDE THOSE IN POWER TO GOVERN WITH WISDOM AND EQUALITY.

2. Religion! Yes, we have our so called freedom of worship. Again, I'm just stating a fact not adding spices for this article. In my teenagers years - early 1990s. I stayed in mostly a Malay majority taman but next to it, was a taman with at least 60% of Chinese residents if not more. You know, Chinese sometimes put their small prayer altar outside the house compound or even on the empty land opposite their house. Guess what happened? Majlis Perbandaran Kota Star came one fine day and trampled those little altar to the ground. Its okay since its outside the residents house? Where is the respect for freedom of worship? Divide and rule?

3. ****! in school, muslims are taught that the non-muslims are called ****. in Kedah, we called it Kapiak instead. So the word kapiak echoes whenever a non muslims were met by muslim. The irony is we are all non believers in each other eyes but we were not taught by by some guru to emphasis it to the point of being racist.

 4. Makan/Sapu Clear! Yes, almost everyone is greedy. You want to makan also don't sapu clear la. u sapu 1mil u give to rakyat back 1- kira sapu clear la tu. Every government I daresay MAKAN maybe not SAPU CLEAR like ours. We need a change in government so that all that previously sapu clear will be sapu clear by the PR. This is the only way to stop the 56 years of sapu clear attitude of our caretakers. don't tell me that u believe najis never sapu since his subordinate is under ? for sapu-ing? u think that pompuan dare sapu if her boss no sapu?

5. BR1M! Aiyo, this one also Rakyat happy kah? apa la........... yes, happy u should be if you are OKU. If u have both the physical and mental capability(not ****ed) then you should not be happy la. RM500 only ...... ya ya ...they say will increase to RM1200. aiyo only 100 a month. what can u really do with only 100 a month these days. this is 2013, not 1960s where a bowl of noodle only cost 20 cent like my dad used to say. Ya ya , last time police wear shorts la, now wear long pants liao. A proper government which if it is in their heart to help the Rakyat is ensure our e****my growth in all level of rakyat, not only the cronies. make RM stronger. 1990s 1SGD = approx. RM 1.5. Look at it now. hardly dropped below RM2.45.

6. No way We cant Be No. 1 in SEA!!! We are a country rich of natural resources and land. Seacoast line also filthy long. What happened? How come we are still only No. 2 in SEA if I dare say we r No. 2? I'm not putting down other countries in SEA but sigh ....its depressing to see that we have the talent ( if u didn't know - a lot of big time players in the No. 1 country in SEA is a Malaysian or ex-Malaysian) so talent confirmed we still have. resources double confirmed. So what happened? Ask the all the PM lo except Tunku la.Out of topic abit -  only true respectable leader. remembered that my dad brought us out to the main road to pay our last respect when the car carrying him pass by. That is another scenario where the rakyat regardless of race n religion came out to pay his or her last respect to the one true respectable leader. This scenario now repeats itself in PR coalition, people of normal get together rallying for what is wrong to be set right again.

So people of Malaysia, our caretaker shout 1 Malaysia. We should show them that has wronged us for 56 years that we will truly stand as 1 Malaysia and do what is right in this coming GE13. Vote for Change. Change in State Government is NOT ENOUGH -Monetary  Reserves comes from FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, so be wiser, winning a few states is not enough to CHANGE, aim for forming a NEW FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. Do it for a CHANGE that we all as a NORMAL RAKYAT deserve.

At one time, ex-President Bush Jr. have been in presidential debate against Al Gore (2000) and John Kerry (2004), and the end result was, Bush Jr. voted as President of USA for 2 terms.

Even though Bush Jr. is a terrible debater and not the most brilliant of Presidents, the people still chose him to manage and lead the country, hehe...

However, I wud love to watch a debate between Anwar Ibrahim against Tun M...

Dear All,

Below are just MHO on why We, as Malaysians should change for a new government be it for the better or worse, that is yet to be seen but presently the CARETAKERS is proven ****ty and it is only prudent and fair to give PR a chance to prove themselves worthy of Malaysians' support. Below is not written to spike any racial issue but only stating the facts experienced by self and inflicted by the CARETAKERS policies.

1. Education! Yes, the other races like Chinese and Indians have their SRJK schools. Fair enough. But the Chinese, Indians and the other minority races were never ever given the fair chance to further their tertiary education in local Us. With the special rights given to Malay since independence is understandable but do not misuse it. Basic education must be given fairly to all regardless of races and religions. The only thing that if one wants to put priority into education is the best deserve scholarships. The clever receive scholarships and the poor receive help in monetary sense to further their education.  I was an ordinary average student in my secondary school (KSAH), only got 17 for my SPM hence impossible for me to get into local Us. But anywa****id quite well for my self now even without the CARETAKERS help but not all is that lucky.
