Monorail stranded over Brickfields, fire fighters rescue passengers

A monorail train broke down and was left stopped in its tracks over Brickfields today, requiring two fire trucks to evacuate passengers from the train by fire ladder.
According to an eyewitness account, an estimated fifty passengers were on the train, split over two coaches.
Fire fighters arrived around 2.39pm this afternoon, setting up ladders from the fire trucks to rescue passengers.
The fire department evacuated passengers from the stranded coaches beginning 2.59pm, prioritizing women and children.
Reportedly, two girls passed out during the evacuation, with one brought to a hospital.
Police and fire department staff cordoned off the area near the elevated tracks where the train had broken down.
The breakdown occurred just before the Tun Sambanthan Monorail station en route from the KL Sentral terminal, not too far from Wisma Monorail.

Before you call Malaysians stupid, how much do you know about trains? Do you know the brakes are of pnuematic or electric system ? That is the brake remain "on and interlocked" for double safety reason when stalled especially at a slope. You commented "toe" you mean "tow" and "disenbark" you meant "disembark"? Though I restrain from name calling and ****er pointing; from what we gather " you are not any smarter than those whom you called "stupid". In your country - when your car breaks down (if you can afford one) , you called yourself or your parents STUPID for having a kid like you?
