BERSIH 4.0 with a million demonstrators?

PAS deputy president convinced one million people will join march for clean and fair elections

PAS Deputy President Mohamad Sabu was quoted as saying that future BERSIH rallies may gather as many as one million protesters if the government does not implement immediate electoral reforms.

According to The Malaysian Insider, Mohamad Sabu said that the ruling government had inspired anger from the public, particularly students.

Meanwhile, a panel to investigate the rally on April 28 has come under fire by opposition lawmakers after the selection of Tun Hanif Omar to head the panel.

Hanif is seen as biased and unsuitable to lead the panel because of his published anti-BERSIH comments, as well as his background as the former inspector-general of police.

The BERSIH 3.0 rally, which saw tens of thousands of protesters gather in the heart of Kuala Lumpur in their attempt to march on Dataran Merdeka, was stopped after police forcibly dispersed the crowd with tear gas and water cannons.

Critics of the government have stated that the police response to the rally was excessive and brutal.

Most of the members in the panel to investigate the 28-April rally are old timers.  They lived during the time of authoritarian type of democracy.  Those days, people were less educated and they gave a free hand to BN to do as they liked.  The government in those days managed to prevent the people by force.  Now the people have become more educated and know what's happening, but the BN government has refused to change.  So, this panel members could misjudge the rally because of their mistaken perception of the world that has changed a lot since 1957.  I think the minister in charge is also confused.  He's afraid that UMNO may lose out this time because of his wrong doings.  Half of his supporters want to change, while the other half refuse to change.

If the election is any cleaner, then Pakatan will definitely win more than 5 states. It was dirty then and still is dirty. Big brother UMNO is nothing but intimidate others. Fair, what fair? Fair only to the ruling BN own pockets. Rakyat suffering and finding hard to feed family!! Thank god for the opposition; otherwise the nation would have went bamkrupt eons ago because of abuse.

Enough is enough!!!

another clown who thinks bersih=kotor...don't know what he was doing during BM lessons. If he paid attention in class he won't be so low IQ now. Who is holding the power even if opposition won the states?... using gangsterism to push the Perak chief minister out of what was lawfully his. Who is holding the purse so as not to let the oppositon carry out development plans as proimised? Who is undermining the power of the chief minister of Penang? With a bunch of hooligans - Indian Muslims parading on the streets and damamging property and not getting picked up by the police but at the  peaceful Bersih gathering with so many senior citizens the police gased and attacked.  You call this fair? The people have chosen you but you are still being bullied so as not to perform....is this clean? A bunch of gangsters are selling burgers in front of a true citizen's house to tease her- saying they lost business on Bersih3 - lies, lies, lies. Who told them not to sell...thousands of marchers would have given them good business....the govt. told them not to sell...pretending to protect them...from what??? so you knew the police was going to gas out the Bersih participants??? You stop buses and blocked roads...why ?? to pretend to people like you, the Bersih is causing inconvenience. I say stop thinking of the rakyats as brainless toys who only pay you taxes to enjoy yourself but cannot voice out the injustice going on.

Instead of  arguing on electoral reforms  and organising rallies  Why dont  the Opposiion and Ruling party  come to an ageement and  adopt an election process  of a democratic country - maybe  Thailand ? And bring in international observors to monitor the elections .. Win honorably and Loose with grace.   The World will be watching the general elections !

Could the PAS Deputy President please accord some respect to the rightful leaders and organizers of Bersih. We had already seen the negative outcome in Bersih 3.0, due to the involvement of overzealous politicians. True Bersih participants are peace-loving, non-violent concerned citizens. PLEASE DO NOT TRY AND HIJACK THE NOBLE OBJECTIVE OF BERSIH! YOU ARE ONLY PLAYING INTO THE HANDS OF BN BY PROJECTING A WRONG IMAGE OF BERSIH!

He is correct - Bersih 4.0 will be a million - but sar3 is right. Let the people be the voice of Bersih...they will do what is to be done. The people power is bigger than all the politicians and their police put together. This undermining the rights of the citizen and bullying will not go on - if the people really show their power. With so much of intimidation they still showed up in the thousands...just imagine how many thousands could not attend because of these intimidations and young families. So UMNO should know that what they saw in Bersih 3 is one hundreth of what the real power of the people is. Wake up and play it clean...stop hiding behind the police...who are becoming more brutal on your instigation. Is this how you protect your citizens? Stop using and bullying the media, stop bribing the weak to go against their brothers, stop manipulating the LAW and EDUCATION -  in short - stop dictatorship.

Judging from the crowd during 428, it should not be a problem for Mohd.Sabu to gather 1 million or more of BERSIH supporters to gather again at Dataran Merdeka to fulfill the bersih wish !  I believed we Malaysians including UMNO members will also like to have a ' Clean' election. Otherwise, UMNO will  also blame the  election as NOT BERSIH  if BN loses in the coming GE 13 ! Najib will agree to my comment too !

I think supporters are leaving UMNO each day as they realize the fallacy that has become clearer each day.  Just look at the UMNO gathering in Putrajaya/BJalil which RTM claimed to be "raksasa", but the Internet photos show a lot of vacant seats - what an exaggeration you have made!  Then just look at Bersih-3 Rally which the government media estimated at 25,000 people only, but the Internet photos show packed with people on all the roads leading to Dataran Merdeka - certainly more than 100,000 people.  At this rate, who is going to believe the government sources?  Come on laaa ... Today, Malaysians are much much more educated than before.  And the free press (on the Internet) is there to be seen and read.  After looking at what's happening, I'm more convinced that I can do better than most of the ministers.

have the readers seen what BN stooges are doing in front of Ambika's house? Selling burgers...chief of police says it is legal for them to do that ...so im going to advice my poor friends to go and open any stall anywhere because M'sia boleh. Now a bunch of ex-army fellas are standing in front of her house showing their butts...can you imagine to what low **** level politics is sinking? I guess this is what our army is doing. No war , no work so they turned gay ...take a look at the news in Bersih web. 10 men to frighten one woman....I am ashamed of our army too now. If this is the discipline, I can't imagine them as an army.

By the way what does Islam say about showing your butts to a woman? if it is not allowed then they are all heading for the hell fire. She is talking about saving the face of the nation in the international arena where we hold a high position as THE corrupt state...and here these goons trying to shame her....no way. She is braver than the 10 ex-army goons put together. She comes from a 5000 year old civilization ... dont show her your monkey tricks. Sockalingan dai, learn from her if your mother has not thought you about being brave in justice.

By ther way there was this SPM student who could not sit for the exam cos no IC. the parents have been trying for years...a group with a lawyer and PKR members went to Najib's office ...just then your MIC gangstyers were also there carrying somebody's balls. Suddenly they attacked and punched the people who came with the student....the police watched. MIC dogs did that. So if you are from MIC let me tell you...even the UMNO guys may be shown mercy by God for injustice but the MIC goons will never be forgiven because you betrayed your own poor..you ate up all the funds that was to be for their welfare...little as it was, you stole it....don't let me open your can of worms .

dai sockalingam...yennada ...thanni vangi wuthenana? Your people are eating bones thrown by UUmno and counting their 1 ringgits and their children are into crime for food. The immigrants are living a better life than the poor Indians in the slums of M'sia. Don't pretnd you don't know...unless you are Ceylonese (as your name sounds) who never thought you were Tamil,  until the bashing in Sri Lanka then you all ran to India claiming to be Tamilians. Don't talk ****, you have had a fine time licking the white man's boots and making big money through your estaste dealings...you know what I mean ...that is how all your children were sent overseas to become drs lawyers and engineers. so of course you won't know the plight of the honest hard working Indian. All your relatives are settled overseas and you are holidaying around...so shut up ball carrier. Don't let me open more of your can of worms. On the other hand you could be a political **** of MIC. At least in your generation clean the atrocoties your people did to Indians ...to lessen the sin.

There are lots of pros and cons, so there is no such thing that individual party is going gain for some reason. What people want and asking is an fair election and political rules, thats all. I don't see why it is difficuilt for the goverment to meet such requirements. When talking about democracy, a goverment should consider all needs and the ruling should be equal and fair for their countrymen. Do any one think that Malaysia is really under the rule of democracy , well from my personal view there are lots of holes to be patched,  so that we can clearly see the word " DEMOCRACY" .

It is true that so far goverment has done lots of good things for people to live a healthy and peacefull life but at the same they still need to consider and work out the oppositions request, whether it can be implemented. In the case requesting for fair election , i feel that it can implemented easily without any harm to people. Why need to opposed on the fair election and ruling politics ?

Some people / or partys are taking  advantages from both side by acting wild in the rally where it really drops our country name in the list. In the eye of world, we will be uncivilised by such an act, however there always need a oppositions for good things happen, :-)

Hope good changes will happen for the sake of people and country. Live and love Malaysia.

In the first place,I would choose to have a reasonably peaceful life, not one that is full of unruly and uncontrolled rallies that puts fear into the majority of the population. Bersih,my foot is more bersih lor.. The leaders and all those who are in favour of such rallies and think that the election is dirty, why not, just give up their citizenship and go live, maybe in North Korea?? They know only to criticise and demand, and go against the laws of this nation and even try to sell off this country if they can, just as they would sell of their dignities at the drop of a coin.. If the court has issued an order, anyone going against it has and will be stopped, that is the duty of the police or law enforcement officers,to use tear gas and water cannons is the softest approach the police have, under the circumstances.. ONCE AGAIN,I SAY,WE,THE MAJORITY OF THE CITIZENS,DO NOT AND WILL NEVER AGREE TO UNRULY AND UNCONTROLLED RALLIES,FOR WHATEVER REASONS!!!!!!!, AND ONCE AGAIN I SAY,MY FOOT IS MUCH MORE BERSIH THAN BERSIH WILL EVER BE!!!!  As for AMBIGA,she is only using this platform for her own benefits, not for the stupid, silly, blind followers..It was supposed to be a non political rally, but after seeing all the videos, only a total fool will believe it!!!!!
