Petknode verdict out tomorrow
The verdict for the Petknode animal cruelty case, where cats and dogs had been discovered to be left starving at an illegal boarding center, will be announced tomorrow.
The trial began on June 11 and was followed by many animal lovers, particular those whose pets had been boarded and mistreated at Petknode.
At the trial, the defendants Shahrul Azuwan Adanan were jointly charged with 30 counts of neglecting responsibility and the welfare of the pets boarded at their center.
The pet owners pleaded guilty.
They face a maximum of six months' jail, a RM200 fine, or both for each offence upon conviction.
