Well done to Dtk Nicol & the mixed badminton team for their contribution to our country's medal target. Its has always been squash & badminton that we M'sians have come to expect the gold medals from in any given competition. Other sports could very well add on to the targeted medal tally set by our Sports Ministry but one thing is for certain, we can NEVER be sure of our hockey team!!!!! Gone are the days when M'sian hockey used to be in the top 5-10 standings, when we could walk around with our heads held high......take the last hockey match when we LOST4-2 to Trinidad & Tobago, a country that never made a name in the international hockey world (no insults meant)  until very recently (commonwealth games).....with all the time & fund wasted on the current hockey team and all we have to show is the last place in the just concluded World Cup and now the Commonwealth Games......just how much lower do we have to drop and where on earth do we put our faces when other lower-ranking nations talk about the sport that once was M'sia???? What other stupid excuses will our officials, coaches & players have to explain to us for this loss??? With all these failures, our current hockey coach still has the nerve & gall to request that this team goes on a " 03 week training stint " to Holland??? What the hell for when we can't even beat low-ranking teams in the current games?? Why don't we just concentrate in salvaging some pride by first trying to beat the ASIAN / ASEAN  teams before we even think of going Europe??? All this overseas trips are merely "paid holidays" for the officials, coaches & players!!!! Get the damn system worked out at home first before wasting so much money on overseas trips!!!!! Change the officials, coaches & players as I am sure that there are a lot more talented players ( chinese, malay, indian, sikh, sarawakian, sabahan, eurasian,) just waiting for a fair & transparent selection process to be given an opportunity to represent their country and perhaps bring back some of it's lost glory.....this total review & revamp must be done immediately to both the men & women hockey team and also our football team. If we start from now, who knows in maybe a few years time (perhaps not in my lifetime) our country may be up in the standings where we once before and where we truly belong..Malaysia Boleh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
