George Soros, billionaire boogeyman?

Former prime minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad wrote an editorial published in The Sunday Straits Times yesterday decrying the alleged attempts of billionaire Hungarian-American financier George Soros to destroy the Malaysian economy through the Soros Fund Management chairman's currency speculation work.

While the name 'George Soros' is familiar to most, especially conspiracy theorists, not too many people know who exactly this mysterious enemy of Dr Mahathir's is.
